Out and About - community Program
Loud and Proud – Inclusive Group Karaoke
The Co-operative Life invites our community to join our new psychosocial inclusive Loud and Proud Choir.
Directed by well-known community choir director, Chrissie Shaw, the Loud and Proud Choir is open to all people living with psychosocial conditions. We invite all to sing, connect and belong. The choir will meet every Thursday from 10.30am – 12pm at The Lantern Club, 21 Roselands Ave, Roselands NSW 2196.
It’s fun, free and refreshments are provided.
The benefits of singing for mental health are well documented, improving social support, increasing positive emotions, reducing fatigue and stress, and increasing the sense of connectedness and inclusion. We aim to have fun and connect while singing. No experience necessary!
Out and About
The Loud and Proud Group Karaoke is part of our Out and About inclusive community engagement program for people in our community living with complex psychosocial disabilities. Our aim is to provide engaging opportunities in a safe, accessible space for our community to meet, create, express, learn and belong.
Through creative activities such as the Loud and Proud all-inclusive group karaoke, trauma-informed yoga with the Yoga Foundation, and Lost and Found Gardening, our community has the opportunity to connect, express and share in a supported environment. Many people living with psychosocial disabilities are isolated from their communities. The primary focus of Out and About is inclusive community engagement, creative expression and connection.
We ask you to please spread the word to your community.
